(Poetry) Be The Light .

This poem captivates with the value of unity, steadfastness and preseverance of the African Continent.

Lets make a difference,
Lets all forget our preference,
If we stand together and unite,
We shall see the way at night.
With us lies the future,
Together, lets paint the picture.
Africa unite,
Be the light.

Brothers fighting brothers,
D street filled with murders.
We fight within ourselves,
Can't we forget the hate on the shelves?
Albeit, we strive,
we cannot thrive,
Where there is strife.
But with love,
We can move,
Past the war-lines we drew.
It takes just me and you.

Lets shout down aggression.
It bars us from our mission.
To live in just and truth,
Founded on solid roots.
So lets unite,
And fight terror with our might,
For today, we must be the light.

I see a picture,
In it lies our future.
Lets clear it of affliction
So it does not become a fiction.
Black africa,
Let our resolve not flicker(wither).
Lets stop the hating,
And start the healing.

Because in togetherness,
We are made strong,
Irrespective of wrong.
Let us harness,
The teachings of Mother Theresa,
For it's our visa.
We are the change we seek.
In light, we can make it through thin and thick.
