Youths in Ijebu Ode yesterday took to the streets as they went wild over the killing of Mikel, their colleague.
He was crushed at about 8 am on Sunday at the Ore-Ijebu-Ode Expressway following which the truck was set ablaze.
The youths later blocked the four lanes and prevented vehicular movements.
According to eye witness reports, the deceased had gone to ease himself in a nearby bush after which he wanted to cross the road but was knocked down by the truck and died instantly.
Mikel was described as an agile person, a footballer who was preparing to travel out of the country to play professional football before his saddening death.
The deceased was nick-named Mikel because he was good in the midfield and used to wear number 12 shirt like the Nigerian international footballer, Mikel Obi.
So, Rest your mind. Mikel is alive. lol
